The vineyards are spread over 4 communes on the right bank of the Rhône : Lirac, Roquemaure, St Laurent-des-Arbres and St Geniès-de-Comolas, in the French area of the Gard. The soils are composed of red terraces of rounded stones and sandy soils The climate is typically Mediterranean with low rainfall, an average of 2.700 hours of sunshine per year and the dominant wind the Mistral The vineyard has been part of the local resouces for two thousand years. The local Appellation ("Cru") was awarded by decree in 1947. The main grape varieties are Grenache, Cinsault, Syrrah and Mouvrède, Clairette and Bourbuolenc. The Red has a beautiful deep colour, full and generous, ideal with red meats The Rosé is bright and vivid, an excellent persistence in the mouth, ideal with Mediterranean fish as the White which has a bright pale yellow body, lively and aromatic.
